Ayurveda is the science or wisdom of life.
We will begin with a 45-minute yoga practice taught through an Ayurvedic Spring-Balancing lens.
Ayurveda takes into account the “whole” person (i.e., physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies) and maintains that everyone (and every living thing) has a natural Constitution or Makeup, called a Dosha. The Three Doshas are: Vata (composed of Air & Space), Pitta (Fire & a little Water) and Kapha (Earth & Water). During the Spring Season, the Kapha Dosha is dominant.
During the Seasonal Transitions, we are more easily thrown off balance as we adjust to new elements, and so we will discuss daily practices (including routines/habits, practices, and food choices) to keep us feeling aligned and strong as we embrace Spring.
